A select few from SH3 made the quite short journey to the village of Bradfield, which has majestic school buildings surrounded by beautiful countryside. Apparently there was much else on this weekend. Naturally the founder of the CAMH(R)A Hash, CL, parked his vehicle in the chairman’s spot.
The occasion was well organised by the Berkshire Hash in a grand old barn, which grumpy humans like Uncle Gerry moaned was cold because it was full of holes – it’s a barn! Beers were provided by the Mysterious Beer Company, so mysterious I’d never heard of it.
As is customary on such occasions we were offered three trails: walkers, medium & long. J Arthur opted for medium trail and I decided to drag Petal round the long one.
We had checks by interesting buildings. Simple held up our end by keeping near the front of the quite quick pack on the long run.
We had autumnal paths….
Fields…
Veggie patches…
Playing fields
I even met some of my bigger Scottish cousins wearing their comedy horns.
It is always a pleasure on these occasions to see who else has ventured out. It’s a time to catch up with old friends from other hashes, even older friends from your own (!) and to make new friends in a convivial atmosphere over a few amusingly labelled “craft” beers in a positive atmosphere.
It was a good workout!
But tiring,

Uncle Gerry awaits his turn as RA clutching a glass of mango juice – actually an interesting wheat beer.
